This is the handle that everyone asks about!
We have been making these handles for a very long time now. They began their life in our old business and was a feature we often included in the exclusive gear we made. This stabalised handle material and the tube rivet system is pretty much as tough as it gets when you put it on a machete.
Apart from being incredibly robust and reliable as a handle, they just feel like they are meant to be in your hand. They do improve how you cut. The heavier handle takes some of the vibration out in heavy chopping. We can make these over sized to fit a big hand and longer so you get more mechanical advantage in a cut.
We have yet to include this feature into our store as a regular shop option but it’s on the drawing board.
As everyone of them is hand made, installed and shaped to fit perfectly like an extension of your arm, we cannot offer these as a cost effective solution. Currently they take a significant amount of time to complete plus materials.
We do occasionally release a completely ‘No Holds Barred’ package as a one off. The John Wayne machete is an example of this. And yes, we are happy to quote one for you if you must have the best!
